CLOTHING I - PROJECT SUPPLIES NEEDED
1. Swedish Weaving:
(provided- fabric and yarn)
2. Beach Towel converts into Beach Bag:
* Used beach towel
* for Beach Bag- 3/4 yard, (45") cotton, (no terry cloth)
* matching thread
(provided- cording and patterns)
3. Hot Pads:
*10 cups rice
(provided- fabric)
4. Stack and Slash Twin Quilt:
* Collect 16 different, 11 inch cuts of fabric. You will want a variety of light, dark, and medium colors. An easy way to do this is to choose 4 colors you want in the quilt. Of these 4 fabrics you will choose ONE LIGHT, ONE DARK, AND TWO MEDIUMS. Also, try to vary the size and scale of the prints. NOTE: having different shades of fabric and variety of print sizes, adds depth, texture, and interest in your quilt.
* 2 yards for the bias binding OR
* 2 yards for piquet binding
* For the back- one twin flat sheet, ($3.00? at Wal-Mart)
* Two spools of high quality thread, Gutermann, Dual Duty, or Mettler.
*Optional- 1/2 yard fabric to make quilo, (blanket tucks into pouch to make a pillow
(provided- 2 yards of 96" batting)
5. Backpack:
* 1 1/4 yards, (45") cotton, jean, canvas, or corduroy fabric
* one 7" zipper
* two large buttons
* matching thread
